As part of a synthetic biology feature article in Genetic Engineering & Biotechnology News, our CEO Mark Kotter describes the background to how bit.bio has developed an end-to-end platform for the creation of any human cell type.

We achieve this by leveraging a discovery platform that integrates genetic screening, big data, machine learning and large-scale experimentation to identify the transcription factor combinations or codes that determine cell identity and combining it with our proprietary opti-ox precision cell programming technology to faithfully execute those codes in human cells. The article also includes some of the latest research and developments in synthetic biology, and illustrates its potential to have a transformative impact in human health.
